Collage is a term that describes mixed media art works. The word collage is both the technique and the resulting work of art. The collages consist of many different materials. Artists appropriate  pieces of paper, photographs, fabric, newspaper, drawings and other ephemera, in making the collage. They subsequently arrange the  materials and stick them down onto a supporting surface, such as paper or canvas.
