Secret profession or as a kid I wanted to be: A pop star or to work on a supermarket till.
AIC: How would you describe your own personal aesthetic?
AW: Vintage, movie-musical-esque.
AIC: How would your friends describe your personality?
AW: Funny, loving, loyal. (Or maybe they think I'm a pain in the ass.)
AIC: What inspires you?
AW: Photography, weather, color, atmosphere.
AIC: Who's your hero?
AW: Filmaker Mike Leigh.
AIC: Do you consider yourself a collector? If so, what do you collect?
AW: I was a manic collector as a child and I have so many gorgeous memories of the erasers and stickers I collected. I have them still and the scratch and sniffs are still smelling! I would collect things now if I didn't have a NYC sized apartment.
AIC: What's your most precious possession?
AW: My dog, Luigi.
AIC: What does the term 'curating' mean to you?
AW: Choosing, culling and creating with an ultimate vision in mind.
AIC: Why did you get involved in this project?
AW: I've really enjoyed being involved with art:i:curate. It's fun and exciting and I'm interested in whatever they are up to next.
AIC: How do you usually take art in?
AW: I'm a performer, so all ways, viscerally all the time. Also the old fashioned way..I go to galleries and exhibitions.
AIC: Describe Paul Smith in three words.
AW: British, proper, fun.
AIC: Tell me something about yourself - anything.
AW: Lately I'm all about Owls.
