Benedetta Panisson in The Structure of Revenge

Benedetta Panisson in The Structure of Revenge
Benedetta Panisson, People do water, 2013, photography, 60 x 35 x 3 cm.

Benedetta Panisson participates in The Structure of Revenge exhibition at the Onassis Cultural Centre in Athens. It is part of a series of international meetings based on Raymond Williams’ classic essay on materiality and feeling. The central themes for Structure of Revenge are revenge and its entangled emotions. This project brings together visual artists, writers, directors, philosophers, academics, artists, architects, sociologists, academicians and political thinkers to work together on the structures of revenge of defeated communities.

Benedetta Panisson, The excess island. chapter n.25, 2011, photography, 60 x 35 x 3 cm.

Benedetta Panisson's work involves photography, video installation, live performance and drawing. Part of her research is dedicated to the aesthetics of sexuality. All her projects are the result of long period processes, works in progress that are often completely naked, where all logical and illogical mechanisms are shown. Her work is a merge of photography and the aesthetics of sexuality, using the sea as a sexual metaphor.

The Structure of Revenge is a project curated by Aristide Antonas, Adam Kaasa, Yoke-sum Wong, Christos Carras.
