art:i:curate artist Samin Ahmadzadeh at Saatchi Gallery

art:i:curate artist Samin Ahmadzadeh is among the artists featured in the group exhibition 'In Between', a show about personal journeys and boundaries at Saatchi Gallery, Education Room.
The concept and curation of the exhibition is the product of a collaboration between two female artists, who happen to be an Arab and a pro-peace Israeli. Asmaa Alanbari and Eden Lazaness bring together artists from the UK and the Middle East, amongst other places. It is a subtle but assertive demonstration that art and life are stronger than conflict and extremism.
The artworks featured in the exhibition commence a journey beyond boundaries. We are all on a personal journey, from where we are now to where we would like to get to. The interesting part is the 'in between', the crossing over, the spaces and places we go through in order to get somewhere better. The types of boundaries addressed in this group exhibition range from cultural to physical and also the psychological. The exhibition embraces various art media, from painting to video, sculpture and installation.
