art:i:curate is the first crowdfunding platform that allows emerging artists to raise funds for their work and share profits on sales with their patrons.
art:i:curate is disrupting the art world by reinventing the gallery model and enabling anyone to become a patron of contemporary art and design in a few simple steps.
We exhibit works that our community supports in international shows. Since our launch in 2013, we have created 8 shows in London and New York showcasing over 50 talents from 30 countries worldwide.
The platform allows people to pledge a chosen amount to finished works they like. art:i:curate calls its patrons “Co-Producers” since their investment helps artists continue their creative practice. In turn, Co-Producers get a percentage of the proceeds once the work they have backed is sold.
The Creator sets up a funding campaign with a Target Amount equal to 40% of the work's price. If the campaign reaches its goal within a period of 45 days, the Creator gets funded.
A Co-Producer can be anyone interested in supporting contemporary art and design, whether it is an artist's friend or anyone else who discovers the Creator via art:i:curate. In turn, Co-Producers get a percentage of the proceeds once the work they have backed is sold.
art:i:curate builds a vibrant community and helps creative talents widen their audience; Co-Producers not only support them financially but also become their advocates. With the successfully funded works, art:i:curate creates offline exhibitions and events that allow Creators to reach their audiences beyond the digital realm and Co-Producers to experience the art and design they pledged to in person.
art:i:curate launched a new way of patronage making contemporary art and design truly accessible to everyone.
Our aim is to empower people around the world to define the future of art and design. Through their support of emerging talent, Co-Producers co-curate our future shows. The concept of curating no longer belongs exclusively to the art world. Together we want to redefine its meaning.
We are living in an era where the development of technology and social media has become a reality that enables people around the world to select, edit, and communicate ideas and visions - whether they are personal or collective. We are all curators in our everyday lives.
We are not a virtual gallery; we are not a gallery either. We are a new generation in the world of art and design.
art:i:curate features a carefully curated selection of art and design objects created by very talented and dedicated artists and designers from all over the world.
We display over a thousand of works that are available for sale. You can acquire artworks in diverse media including photography, painting, sculpture, and collectibles ranging from design products to jewellery.
art:i:curate was founded in London, UK, by two long-time friends, Irina Turcan and Nur El Shami, who met during their studies in Milan, Italy, and instantly bonded over their passion for art and design and excitement for adventure and entrepreneurship. Six year later, Nur and Irina decided to set out on a new journey that would inspire people around the world to support emerging talent and together define the future of art and design.

A Co-Producer is anyone who decides to pledge to a Creator’s finished work and, therefore, support their creative practice. It can be anyone including the Creator’s family, friends, extended network, as well as the entire art:i:curate community that comprises art and design appreciators, collectors, and other supporters.
To pledge means to commit a sum towards the Target Amount of a finished work.
If the Target Amount is successfully reached, the Co-Producers are supporting the Creator's artistic practice. In turn, when the respective work is sold, the Creator and the Co-Producers share the sale proceeds.
Additionally, the Co-Producers are co-curating our upcoming shows – we showcase funded works at events and exhibitions around the world.
Set by the Creator, the Target Amount represents 40% of the work's total price. While the Co-Producers pledge to an already finished work, the Creator uses the funds to produce new work and continue their creative practice.
If the campaign reaches its goal within the funding period, the Creator of the featured work receives the Target Amount. The Co-Producers, in turn, collectively become co-owners of the 70% of the respective work and get their share of the net sale proceeds, once the work is sold.
Crowd-curating is all about grasping a collecting effort: by browsing through art:i:curate, selecting works and supporting artists and designers you not only make a statement, but also share with us what it is that inspires you. We create shows and events with the art and design you like.
You become the curator and patron of the 21st century.
