A series of photos of the 8 windows of the first floor of a disused building in Via Tor di Nona, Rome, The building declared unsafe and officially closed to the public has been inhabited by the homeless. Their stay is evidenced by the missing breeze blocks that have been removed to create windows.

The window is the architectural element, in which inside and outside are united. Aldo Van Eyck defined windows as: “Locations created for an occasion”. Read less
