This series is not simply representing the forms of the cinema, it is also about the relationship between the duration and the static flatness. It embodies the experience of staying in a cinema, but it also attempts to throw that assumed solidly vantage perspective in doubt. The painting as the fragment of a bigger narrative meditates between movement and pause, the past and the present, like a cracked lens that both reveals and conceals.

In this painting, the brushes touched the canvas and left the marks and gestures just like foot prints, a clue showing the human appearance and disappearance in space. This movement becomes a metaphor between the real experience and the represented. Read less
