"The title 'Little Richmond' refers to a close group of friends that all moved from Richmond (VA), to New York after undergraduate studies. Our group kept growing in size, so like 'little Italy', we began referring to ourselves as 'little Richmond'. Carrie is a world traveler, surfer, musician, glass artist, and just overall a free spirit.

This series of works all share my limited palette of silver and yellow. Yellow symbolises warmth, spirituality and light. Whereas, silver is like stain-less steal - modern, clean, hard, cold and almost sci-fi. The colours create both a visual balance and tension, that I find reflected in the world around me." Read less
