In the Ovid's version of the myth of Arachne and Athena, Arachne is ultimately punished for her weaving talent by being forced to weave for the rest of her life as a spider. To take the print further, Emily endured the punishment of weaving. She destroyed her work by hand shredding it and then slowly wove it back together. The result is both a finished product and a remnant of the process that went into creating this work. Read less
