This project formally consists of a series of 54 sets of postcards, each with different fragments of photographs which were divided and featured as an installation at the venue of the gallery. The exhibition visitors are given the possibility to purchase their postcard of choice, one or all, take them home, hang them on the wall or use to send as a postcard, sharing them with friends.

"The postcards present details from photographs of water and the sea that I took at the seaside. The title features thoughts about water, time and moments to ourselves. The act of writing a message, followed by a mix of sentimentality and nostalgia surround the postcards. This makes them a fruitful format for me to express myself. The photo is an imprint. It transmits something that was once really there. Like a fingerprint or a footprint, it remains closely related to what it captures. What is of interest to me here is the dissonance between sign and meaning, and exploring how they shift when images are set into different contexts and new, weightless archives.
I work in painting, drawing, photography, installation and video which allow a perspective that invites us to reflect on the elapsed time and reiteration of forgotten memories."

The postcards are digital black and white prints with a coarse grain quality. Each postcard is stamped with the artist’s signature after printing. Read less
