Working on the search for new bioplastics materials, Florence discovered milk stone. A resistant material which is obtained from casein. By pushing this research, she found out the history of Galalith: a derivative of milkstone to which is added formaldehyde. Galalith, hard and silky, is worked manually. It requires hand work or mechanical polishing to achieve a shiny appearance. Furthermore, this polymer is a biodegradable.

This noble plastic is now very rare because all production ceased. Florence decided to leave in search of this Galalith. Read less
