The collection of photographs filled several albums, of which Yann has looked at since he was a young child. Like most children of the nineties, Yann's mother loved to take snapshots of his life growing up. The collection of photographs filled several albums, of which Yann has looked at since he was a young child. As this was Yann's first experience with photography, he has since always related photography to a source of truth and reliable memories.

By personal experiences and readings, he has noticed that memories are not as reliable as we imagine; remembrance might be distorted due to trauma, and also our childhood memories are not as accurate as we may think.

Yann has decided to alter his photographs (memories) by altering their source, the negative, through the scanning process, creating distortion upon the reliability of the film. Read less
