In asking herself "Can I be nostalgic for a place I have never been to?", the artist explores questions related to identity, (be)longing, nostalgia and the sense of home as related to a specific place – surrounding landscape.
By using photos taken out from travel brochures in the collaged work, the artist dissects the informational and emotional value of these “images of desire” as offered from the travel industry on one hand, and on the other, works with her own photographs and confronting losing memory in the “Emotional Morphology” series.
